An important message to all Reuters Estimates Online clients

Reuters Estimates Online To Be Discontinued

This is to inform you that Reuters will discontinue the Reuters Estimates Online service by the end of 2005. This notice refers to the Internet-delivered service accessed via www.global-estimates.com.

Reuters is actively pursuing a rationalisation programme on delivery platforms and migrating clients to the next generation of products, built on the Reuters Knowledge platform. The ultimate goal of this exercise is to improve user experience and satisfaction with Reuters products. As part of this programme, it has been decided that Reuters Estimates Online will be discontinued. Reuters is and will remain fully committed to providing estimates data and products and tools to work with this data, within the Knowledge platform.

With the growth of the Reuters Knowledge suite of products, based upon the technologies acquired through the acquisition of Multex, we believe we have a set of products which meets client use cases of the Reuters Estimates Online service. Throughout the migration process we plan to work with you to assist you in integrating our preferred replacement service into your workflows and to minimise the impact of the changes. As well as replicating much of the functionality of Reuters Estimates Online, there are many additional data sets and features available through the Reuters Knowledge products which may also be of value to you.

It is our intention to provide you with parallel access to the appropriate Reuters Knowledge service starting two months prior to your renewal date. We will honour all obligations under current contractual terms. We will allow you to run both services in parallel up until the renewal date. We will provide you with details of changes to cost and terms of use as appropriate at this time. You will then have two months to make the decision whether to take Reuters Knowledge going forward or to allow your current subscription to lapse. This letter provides Reuters’ notice on the terms and conditions in your current contract as of the rollover date.
